I understand that going to a new salon can feel intimidating, especially if you’re not sure what to expect. Here is additional information to help make your first visit with me as seamless and comfortable as possible.

Location
I have a private studio space at
Salons By JC. It is located at 11820 Ulysses Ave NE, Blaine , suite #15.
The building is just west of 117th and Hwy 65 (Central Ave) on Ulysses Ave.
Parking is conveniently located in front of the salon.
Come on inside.
As you walk through the front double doors there is a large desk. Depending on the day, you may be greeted by our concierge and they will direct you to my suite.
If the concierge is not available, there is a map to the right of the desk on the wall to locate my suite.
Please make your way back to my suite and if the door is open, COME ON IN!!!
If my door is shut or I am with a client, please have a seat on the bench in the hallway and I will come get you as soon as possible.
Your Consultation
Seeing a new stylist can be stressful. My number one priority is listening to you so that you feel comfortable and confident . I want you to get what you want AND to love your hair. I will be asking you a lot of questions during your consultation about your hair history, lifestyle, and goals.
Bringing pictures of your desired look is encouraged as well as providing 1-2 pics of looks you want to avoid; this is as important as the looks you want to achieve.

I will be honest with you about realistic goals, time frames, and potential outcomes for your hair. I believe in transparency. I’ll also review your service plan and pricing before I start.
I offer organic and environmentally friendly color and styling products including All Nutrients and Innersense. 80% of great hair is what you do at home, so I will walk you through how to care for your new look, including product suggestions and styling tips.

How should my hair be for my appointment?
If you are coming in for a regular haircut- Do nothing. I will shampoo, condition, cut, and dry your hair for you. Flat ironing or curling the hair with an iron is an additional fee.

If you are coming in for a curly cut- For Curly Cuts please arrive for your appointment with your hair down, completely dry, and naturally curly/wavy with no clips, headbands, or ponytails. Minimal styling products are ok. No oils, butters, or heavy creams. If your hair has been straightened, the curl pattern changed or is severely tangled, your appointment will either be rescheduled, or an additional charge will be added for the extra services required.

If you are coming in for a color or highlight-Please come in with clean hair for best results. No heavy hairsprays , dry shampoos, or products on your hair. Failure to follow these guidelines can change the end result of your color.
Recommended Maintenance Schedule
Color and style maintenance varies,
but in general, I recommend:​

Policies
Cancellation
A few days before your appointment, you'll receive a text reminder with an option to confirm or reschedule.
Please let me know 24 hours or more in advance if you need to change or cancel your appointment.
Less than 24 hour notice of cancellation and No Show appointments will result in a rescheduling fee of 50% the service(s) booked.
These fees must be paid in full before booking a future appointment.
Late Arrivals
Services for clients running late will be adapted to fit the remaining appointment time without adjustment to pricing. Clients arriving more than 15 minutes late may need to be rescheduled and Cancellation Fees will apply.

Adjustments
I strive to offer my guests the highest level of satisfaction. If you are having challenges with your cut & color, let me know within 7 days of your visit and I am happy to correct the issue at no additional charge. No refund will be given.

Should you make a retail purchase you are unsatisfied with, let’s find something better for you! Exchanges at full credit are accepted as long as you notify me within 7 days of your initial purchase.
